CANOE RENTALS
We only rent out the most efficient hull designs (with good stability in mind). Also, every one of our canoes has a deep dished yoke.
WEIGHT vs. THE RENTAL PRICE
All the portages have frequent canoe rests, but weight makes QUITE a difference because you have eight km of portaging.
The same canoe weighs:
Rental pick up is at 8 am (or later). Latest return time is 9 pm (watercrafts already cleaned).
CANOE RENTAL INCLUDES: 2 PFDs with whistles, 2 paddles, a bow line, a throw bag, a bailer with sponge, and a spare paddle for your group.
Throw bag – is for emergencies only and is not to be uncoiled.
ALWAYS EMPTY THE BOAT BEFORE BRINGING IT UP ON SHORE
‘Good canoeists always get their feet wet’.
REMEMBER* The easiest way to damage a boat is by dragging it up on shore or loading it on shore.
In all of our Clipper canoes, the stern paddler is equipped with an adjustable footbrace, while the bow paddler can use the flotation tank as a footbrace. A footbrace will reduce lower back pain and shoulder stress and will eliminate the need to kneel, while at the same time increasing your control of the canoe.
We don’t rent our canoes for the ocean. We rent kayaks, though :).
